Im tired of employers taking advantage of employees. Im getting a verbal warning for an Un - excused absence for taking the day off on Tuesday to care for my sick 4yr old daughter. Since I dont have anymore sick days left and dont want to use my vacation time I get the hit. 2 more and I get suspended and probably fired. I can get a doctors note and show the daycare policy that states children cannot attend until 24 hrs after taking first dose of antibiotics. Does that make it excused? Nope! They dont care about my family, just their bottom line. My family comes first. I work hard and hardly miss work. Who only gets sick for 3 days a year anyways? And especially with kids! Cant wait until our son arrives so I can fight with them again about paternity leave. They tried holding that over my head when our daughter was born. Bring it on!
