Imagine this ... My daughter Issandra and her 3-year-old little girl and her 13-year old son Lorenzo huddled on a mattress on the floor at my right. My son Chiro alone on another mattress at the foot of my bed. My eldest 21-year-old grandson Angelo in bed with me. I am the only one awake, just describing the scene early this morning, as the hours tick away... TODAY will be a most memorable day for our family -- the wedding of the only son, the unico hijo. And the excitement is about to unfold, just as soon as everybody wakes up. Last night, before sleeping, we all prayed aloud together for the grace of God to descend upon this union of two souls that have managed to surmount all odds. Dear God, please protect them from all harm, as they manage to go through life in peace and harmony together, for the rest of their days... And now, the first day begins...
