Improvising is your creative ideas played in the context of moving chords! A lot of musicians have ideas that they articulate good but to get from one idea to the next,or in other words,the connectives,is usually not done creatively! Instead,a drab use of a scale or two, to just fit in or link creative ideas is what is often employed, which gives most peoples solo,a scalar and linear finish,predictable if you will! Len boogsie sharpe though,has mastered the ability to link creative ideas without sounding scalar or linear! He can jump from creative idea to creative idea and link them creatively and flawlessly without being predictable! This is my observation! Listen to the album fingers and sticks! Geez the man creatively articulate! May not be the most sensitive player but definitely the most creative Ive come across!
