In 1974 I brought Larry Groce and the Currence Brothers out from - TopicsExpress

In 1974 I brought Larry Groce and the Currence Brothers out from West Virginia to play concerts in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. Here are the Currence Brothers home movies, Jimmy, Lody and Malcolm, along with Larry Groce and Berke McKelvy. Im in there too, in the Argyle sweater vest clowning around. Everyone stayed at my Victorian house in downtown Los Angeles for a week. As soon as I heard them playing, I booked some recording studio time and made the album from which many of these songs were taken. The album was later re-released along with Larrys hit song Junkfood Junkie (with Jim Keltner adding drums to match the Top 10 single that was recorded live at McCabes Guitar Shop in Santa Monica). Of course, theres footage of when I took them to Disneyland. Other footage is from around my house, near USCs Campus, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. There were lots of new sites. I dont think that theyd seen a palm tree live before, or flown on an airplane. https://youtube/watch?v=6Umjgg9fKfw
