In 2009 Malawians including me gave Bingu Wamuntharika a land slide victory. ..2 years later Malawians including me walked to the streets demanding his removal as president of Malawi because of his undemocratic principles despite belonging to self acclaimed democratic peoples party. We saw the outcome. During the same time. ..His brother headed the education ministry. .as minister of education. ..This was the worst period where there were series of strikes in most public universities. ..we all saw the outcome. ..Some who would have been graduates today are still undergraduates. .. fast FORWARD 2014..... The brother who failed to run a single ministry. ... surprisingly becomes the State President. . Barely 6 months into office ...strikes have become the order of the day. . The judiciary is on strike. ...Anti-corruption body..pending...University of Malawi pending. .. Nation food Reserve Agency on strike. ..Teachers Union of Malawi obviously pending. ..... Now rewind to 2010-2011...every time there was a strike at the university of Malawi....The then Hon Minister played hide and seek by not paying attention to the strikes.(usually travelling abroad) .. again FAST FORWARD to 2014... and lets do some simple arithmetic. .
