In George Washingtons farewell address he said these things about foreign policyThe nation which indulges toward another with habitual hatred or habitual fondness is in some degree a slave...Such an attachment of a small or weak towards a great and powerful nation dooms the former to be the satellite of the later...The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible...It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world. it would do our nations current leaders to heed the wise words of our elders. If we are ever to get out of this financial crisis, we need to stop throwing money into the ocean hoping that it will land where we want it. The key is controlled leadership....there is no control in the circus of our current government or our nation as a whole. Time to abolish popular sovereignty and make government focus more localized.
