In October last year, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan - TopicsExpress

In October last year, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Now happily settled into married life, Kareena talks about Saif’s kids - Sara (21) and Ibrahim (13) - from his previous marriage, and the warm relationship she shares with them. A year-and-a-half into your marriage, has anything changed? There’s really no difference, and I hope that there is no change (smiles). But now, you have Saif’s family to take care of too. They were always my family. The day I met Saif, they became my family. Both Saif and I don’t think in terms of us being married and all that. We just want to be with each other. You also spoke about your bond with Sara (Saif’s daughter) on Karan Johar’s chat show. I’ve always been open about it. I don’t know why that is such a big deal. It has nothing to do with the person that I am; love and marriage have nothing to do with my professional career. I’ve never understood that, and I’ll never understand why people think that way. Things are changing now; people have become more open about their relationships than they were 20 years back. There are rumours that Sara is preparing for Bollywood. Not at all. Sara is at Columbia University in New York. She’s studying at one of the best schools in the world, and her father is proud of her. There’s no talk of Bollywood for sure. Do you two ever discuss the film industry and Bollywood movies? No, in fact, now she lives in New York, so she comes down only for the holidays. Sometimes we talk about it, but that’s not the main topic. Ibrahim has also started playing cricket now… I’m sure Saif must be happy. He comes from a cricketing family, and they are really into sports. Saif really likes sports, and has suddenly started playing cricket and tennis regularly. He has the body language of a sportsman. How was it shooting with Saif for his upcoming film? It’s a very sweet and cute (film), but I can’t say anything else or they will all kill me. I can tell you that my part in it is not limited to only one song. I was already in Detroit when Raj and DK (the directors) asked me (to take up the part). Since we were on holiday anyway, I thought I might as well do something fun. By:ShruRy DSouza Kapoor ^_^
