Some of my friends may wonder why we celebrate the Memorial on a different day than Good Friday, so here it goes: When Jesus was on Earth, the Jews used a lunar calendar. They celebrated the Passover meal in the upper room on the 14th day of the 1st Jewish month, Nisan. When he passed the cup of wine and bread following the Passover Meal, and telling his 11 remaining disciples (as Judas had left to betray Jesus), to Keep doing this in remebrance of me, it was past sundown on the 14th. So we use the Jewish calendar to determine when the original date was commemorated. This year this falls on April 14.
