You can not find anywhere in the Hebrew scriptures the message that without blood there is no forgiveness. Several times the prophets preached repentance and obedience, putting these things above the sacrifice, and we have confirmation of this view in the last revelation in the the Holy Quran -------> It is not their meat nor their blood, that reaches Allah: it is your piety that reaches Him: He has thus made them subject to you, that ye may glorify Allah for His Guidance to you and proclaim the good news to all who do right. ~Al Quran 22:37 (Yusuf Ali) In the Hebrew scriptures we find the same teaching: But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. ~ 1 Samuel 15:22 (NIV)
