In game one of the Play it Right Baseball Tournament in Bridgeton, Missouri, the Phantoms defeated the Kirkwood (MO) Pioneers by a score of 7-3. The Phantoms jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and scored one in the fourth and three insurance runs in the seventh after the Pioneers had cut the lead to one. Max M was 3 for 3 and Josh K was 2 for 3. The Phantoms also stole nine bases in the game. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Matt G threw out the potential tying run at home after catching a fly ball. Evan D, Max M and Jake S pitched well for the Phantoms.
