In my humble opinion its still too early to be decorating for Christmas but I realize the all stores need to get their merchandise out in order to complete. That being said I was in a our local Loews the other to return some lightbulbs. As I walked in there were two GIANT blow-up Christmas yard decorations on each side of the front door...a Santa sleigh full of toys and a soldier nutcracker. I admit to thinking I kinda like those and wondering how I could convince Don we really needed them. After returning my items I decided to check out the other outdoor offerings. I saw a bouncing canoe with Snoopy and friends, dinosaur in a Santa hat, snowmen, an alligator&friends Christmas band, Santas in various sizes, Mickey&Minnie. I then headed back to the assortment of non-inflatable yard decor. There were the typical reindeer, lighted gift boxes and trees alongside an elephant balancing a ball on its truck, seals and a pink poodle. No where was there one item related to the real meaning of Christmas...no camels, no angels, no nativity scene. (There is ONE on their website) I left asking myself What happened? When did the birth of our Savior get replaced with a pink poodle? I do plan to write a letter expressing my opinion, I encourage you to also take a stand. And let me take be one of the first to tell you...MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
