In my never ending journey to find the tone, Ive purchased a boss ge-7 eq pedal. My current signal chain goes guitar (wireless)> compressor (boss cs-3)> Ibanez ts-9> boss ds-1> boss md-2>bad money (set to boost) > delay (akai analog delay)> amp (peavey classic 50 2x12) Im not looking to boost my signal. I want to have more clarity in my overall tone. I want notes to hang out a little more especially during solos. My question is, where should it be placed in my chain for that application? Before or after the compressor? Should I put it after my dirty pedals? I dont see a point there because I dont want to just shape the dirty channel. I want to set it and leave it on. I have enough stuff to tap dance on already.
