In praise of my Stay-At-Home Partner from this Always-At-Work Dude: --I need never worry that my children are receiving the best possible care. --I am in awe of your ability to multi-task. --Im aware that when I call or text, you might be busy doing something more important. --I thank you for all the nutritious meals you make us. --If you leave dirty dishes in the sink, I dont care. --I realize you sometimes get frustrated. Its okay to vent at me. --I dont care if the house isnt spotless. The children come first. --I appreciate that I have clean clothes. Thank you. --I can take a sick day if Im ill. Im sorry you cant. You thoughtfully answer kids questions all day long. You smile and say youre fine when youre obviously tired. Your feet hurt. Your back aches. You wipe butts all day long. You clean up messes. You scrub, wash, shine, and disinfect. You kiss boo-boos. You brush hair, change diapers, and soothe hurt feelings. You are superwoman. I could never do your job, not nearly as well. Never in a million years. The children and I are incredibly lucky to have you. Thank you for everything. You are loved. More than you could ever know.
