In the bid to know what the future holds and to find solutions for - TopicsExpress

In the bid to know what the future holds and to find solutions for their present situations, many Christians today, often goes as far as consulting native doctors otherwise known as babalawos, Obia-man or simply babas, sooth sayers, palm readers, astrologers; seeking to know their fate via following horoscopes etc without understanding that there is only one being that truly knows their end and that has the solutions to all known and unknown problems. Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV) explains: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Also; Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) declares: 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. The above scriptures makes us to understand that even before God formed us in our mothers womb, we existed in Him and He has already set our future for us, which is nothing but of peace and an expected, sure and victorious end. Our impatience to the fulfilment of Gods plans and purposes for our lives often steer us to seek solace else where. The moment a Christian or non-Christian alike goes to seek help from other sources except from the one and true God, (Yahweh), they are inadvertently bringing curses upon themselves as seen in Isaiah 31:1 (KJV); Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! and in Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. Waiting on God seems to be the most difficult thing for us Christians to do today, but if we do wait, the results are always worth the waiting for. In Psalm 38:15 Kind David said For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. David further admonishes us in Psalms 27:14 to Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Micah 7:7 declares Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. David further said in Psalm 130:5 that I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. If you choose to wait on the lord and upon His promises, you can never be put to shame rather according to Isaiah 40:31(KJV); But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. : 1. Your strength shall be renewed (Physically, Mentally and Spiritually) 2. You shall mount up with wings as eagles (Divine Acceleration and Visions) 3. You shall run and not be weary (Supernatural Strength for continuous achievements) 4. You shall walk and not faint (Divine Health and Well Being). Would you wait on the lord today?
