In the early hours of the 15 June 2014, a large amount of lead was stolen from the roof of St Faiths Church, along with consequential damage to slates and rainwater gutters. The cost of the repairs necessary is going to be in the region of £20-30K, including the installation of a sophisticated roof alarm. We are now engaged in a big fundraising exercise, Raise the Roof, to pay for these works and some general roof repairs.
