In this day that we honor and remember the sacrifice of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we at Vivo Mix want to take the opportunity to also honor a man that has sacrifice his life and liberty such that so many Latinos, African-americas, and others can enjoy some the human rights we enjoy today. The struggles that such men like Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Ghandi), and others were aligned to the believes of Oscar López Rivera. Oscar was an organizer of ASPIRA (see Aspira of New York and Aspira Inc. of Illinois), and he help eliminate workers discrimination in public utilities such as Illinois Bell, Peoples Gas and Commonwealth Edison. Oscar Lopez Rivera earned his place in American history and deserving of spending his last years of life enjoy some of the liberties he help fight for.
