Information about Hamid Mir (Geo Anchor person).... I want to add some more information here, have a look at family background of Hamid Mir, his father name is Waris Mir who was columnist for Jang newspaper and a critic of military, so its their family work to criticize Pakistan Army and create differences between the Army and the Public. In March 2013, Bangladesh government nominated Waris Mir for a civilian award for his criticism against Pakistan Army in 1971 in East Pakistan issue. There were 13 Pakistanis and 43 Indians who were awarded. So the ceremony held in Bangladesh in last week of March, name was: Friends of Liberation War Honour Well known Pakistanis who received awards for themselves or on behalf of their fathers include: Hamid Mir (Waris Mir), Asma Jahangir (Ghulam Jilani), Salima Hashmi (Faiz Ahmed Faiz), Mir Hasil Bazenjo (Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo) On one side Bangladesh courts are giving death and life imprisonment orders to people who supported Pakistan in 1971 (one ordered in July 2013) and on the other side people like Hamid Mir and Asma Jahangir are receiving awards for fathers work against Pakistan in 1971.
