Interesting Conversation Today: After a job interview this afternoon I ran into an old friend and her boyfriend that were also interviewing. We talked briefly about a few topics; one of which was the job itself. I went on to tell her boyfriend that I was hopeful because Id worked for this company before. I also told him that there was some red tape due to my felony background. I told him how many years it has been and how I try to tell these young guys that that gangsta lifestyle is not worth it. Your actions have consequences and that Id rather flip burgers than go back to prison. I told him I hope these young guys hear what Im saying because its just not worth it. Getting shot isnt worth it. Dying in the streets isnt worth it. He was quiet the entire time; we ended the conversation and I started my car. As they departed, he stopped, turned and said, And thank you for that advice. Thank YOU man. Little did I know that he was that young guy. I realized that it is so very important to tell your story. Someone needs to hear it.
