Internal and External applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancy in the Process Quality Department, Operations Division at Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant. PROCESS QUALITY ASSISTANT (K Hay band) OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY Reporting to the Process Laboratory Supervisor. PRIMARY DUTIES •Analyse water and lime samples and interpret results in accordance with set procedures. •Calibrate laboratory instruments. •Prepare chemical solutions and carry out standardization of solutions •Take sand samples from sand filters for grading analysis, conduct filter inspections and compile a report. •Capture data in Labware Lims. •Maintain ISO systems •Sample, collect and transport samples to Vereeniging on ADHOC basis. JOB REQUIREMENTS •Grade 12 with mathematics and science plus 2 – 5 year laboratory experience. •Knowledge of ISO system, Labware Lims and exposure to water purification process is essential. •Computer literacy in Word and Excel. •A valid Code B driver’s license with the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 driver test.
