Iraq:2 Pakistani Shias Martyred Defending Holy Shrine Of Imam Askari Two Pakistani Shia Muslims embraced martyrdom in Samarrah where they volunteered for optional jihad to protect the holy shrine of Askraiyyah where 10th and 11th infallible Imams were laid to rest. Wajahat Ali and Zeeshan Hussain, Pakistani Shia Muslims, had gone to Iraqi city Samarrah as volunteer to protect the holy shrine of Imam Ali al-Hadi al Naqi (as) and Imam Hassan Askari (as) that is called Askariyyeh in Persian and Arabic and Askariyyain in Urdu. They were part of the volunteer force that chose to optional jihad on a call from Grand Ayatollah Sistani. Bodies of the two martyrs were brought to the holy Iranian city Qom where their funeral was held on Friday. Tens of thousands of the mourners offered their namaz-e-janaza outside the holy shrine of Hazrat Bibi Fatimah Masoomah, sister of 8th infallible Imam Ali Raza and daughter of 7th infallible Imam Moosa Kazim (as).
