Israeli Labor Party leader Isaac ‘Buji’ Herzog (pictured below) has announced a center-left alliance with Tsipi Livni’s (also pictured) Hatnuah party and polled well in early election polls. The question still looms of why dont we read competent analysis from Jerusalem based and Walkley award winning Aussie journalists like Fairfax’s Ruth Pollard or Newsltd’s John Lyons? Unlike J.J. Goldberg’s detailed analysis – “Netanyahu Might Lose Election. Heres How.” - bit.ly/1zN2Pog While the human tragedy of warfare is a worthy subject of news journalism, Pollard’s award winning account failed to note even the widely known fact that al-Shifa Hospital acted as Hamas’s de facto headquarters throughout the conflict. This is a war crime. The Washington Post, among others, reported this.
