It has recently come to the attention of Aqua Foundation for Women that our headliner at aquaSOUNDS, Beverly McClellan, is performing at an unrelated event, the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival which is sponsored by a group that promotes an anti-equality stance within the LGBTQ and allied community. At the time contracts were signed and commitments were made, Aqua Foundation was not aware of this. Aqua Foundation for Women does NOT support this discriminatory policy toward trans individuals. We are resolute in our mission for equality among ALL members of our community. One human family. The philosophy of love and inclusion will be forefront at the aquaSOUNDS concert and we encourage you to join us at this celebration in a show of solidarity and help spread this message. aquaSOUNDS is a concert to benefit Aquas LGBTQ Youth Homelessness Initiative.
