It is hard to understand why people still buy into the rich/poor rhetoric and continue to vote for those who benefit from keeping the poor under their thumb. High unemployment or under-employment of black and latino Americans seems to never end and this misfortune is advantageous to Democrats. The War on Poverty has resulted in total dependency. It has robbed people of hope and the ability to build a better life. It has trapped those dependents in the inner cities and rural areas as has a variety of other issues related to poor education, teen pregnancies, crime and substance abuses. Stop the aid to foreign countries that dont like us and use that money to educate, train and empower those who want a better life. Bob Walton
