It is interesting that with every single one of these diseases, the one common thread to prevention is simply hand washing. As easy as this is, I find myself at work repeatedly encouraging patients to wash their hands and getting disgusted responses from some. I even have patients refusing to wash or sanitize their hands even after using the restroom. It just doesnt make sense to me that something as easy as washing hands, that takes such little time and can prevent so much, can be such an inconvenience to so many. Please wash your hands!
