It is my pleasure to introduce the 2nd honoree in Imanis segment called MEMBER SPOTLIGHT, Mrs.Wendy Gellert. Wendy has been a member of Imani for approximately 9 years and a member of MCC for about 16 to17 years, while in Pensacola, Florida. As a faithful member and dedicated Christian, Wendy has been known to participate in numerous organizations throughout the church, including The Praise Team, The Clean-Up Committee, The Board of Directors, and Imanis Choir. Recently, because of health issues, shes had to limit her commitments, but this has not stopped her from being faithful. When asked, Why do all the things that you do, even in your condition?, Wendy responded by saying, Because of health issues Ive had to give up my job. My wife applied for work and has been blessed with a possible job. God is good. I couldnt live without God in my life. Ive just been in recovery since forever, and God has given me my life back. I believe that a close relationship with my church is payment to God for what he has done for me. My conversation with Wendy was so engaging. We laughed and laughed so much. The fact that shes a brilliant metal and glass artist just adds on to the many talents that Wendy has.
