It is with great sadness that I post this obituary. Mother-in-law - TopicsExpress

It is with great sadness that I post this obituary. Mother-in-law just doesnt seem to suit who this vibrant woman was. She was one of a kind. Fun, funny & always had her families interests at the top of her list. We had some awesome times in the Adirondacks (she introduced me to what would become my heart & my home) & at Jazz festivals and with musicians both in Illinois & New York State. We understood one another even though we clashed from time to time... we both are rigid with certain matters of household, manners & decorum. Katie Kingsley & Julia Kolpek can attest to that! In the end we both thought it was all for the better & truly believed that. My thoughts & sympathy go out to Joy Corcoran-Teats her 1st DIL (who Ive known & loved for years, she is Katies mom) and those Im not connected with on FB... Gale & Donna. Deana & Darl, Sr. My sympathy also goes out to Flash & his wife Debbie who cared for this wonderful woman when she was in Hospice care in their home. Youve ALL been family to me & I cherish the great times weve had! I am also SO very glad that I had the opportunity to visit Grammy (she hated that I called her that but its how I knew her name before we ever met!) when I was in Syracuse last September. In my minds eye Lou is having a ball playing bridge with my mom & doing some cool Jazz stuff at a front row table, also with my mom... rest comfortably & I know youve been reunited with John Scott & your daughter Linda Scott Gibbins.. and your brother Robert who was lost in WWII days after your dear husband John. That reunion must be rocking smiles, I know I take much comfort in that. Rest in comfortable peace. I raise my glass to you tonight! Sleep well, Grammy.
