It is with great sadness that we have to report that the lovely Mia crossed the Rainbow Bridge to the Summer Land today. She had been a bit unwell for a few days but everything came to a head yesterday when, after a thorough examination by her vet, she was gently helped on her way. She left, cradled in the arms of her mum Gerrie in love and kindness to be forever young in a place where nothing will ever hurt her again. Mia was 15 years old when we saved her from the kill shelter where her heartless owner had dumped her to be put to death. Shortly afterwards her forever mum Gerry came for her and gave her the most wonderful time of her entire life. How lovely it would have been for her to enjoy her new life for a little longer. Our hearts and thoughts are with Gerrie and her family. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, Id walk right up to heaven and bring you back again.
