It kinda reminds me of one of the most influential person of 2014, Sir Joko Widodo with his vision for Indonesia that sounds more or less like The creation of an Indonesia that is sovereign, independent and has an identity based on Gotong Royong: working together towards the same goal. Lets forget about urban development and lets focus on the internal parties first. People are smart to identify what is wrong with the country and sometimes come up with ideas as to how a country should be and how to go about it. However, are those ideas aiming for the root of the problems? The foremost important question to ask is what are the fundamental and foundation we lack of that ultimately create all these issues people identified. Do leaders or politicians understand Pancasila, this so called fundamental force that govern Indonesia as a whole? Indonesias seventh president brings back the Gotong Royong to the picture which I think is a splendid start. How do leaders start developing the country if the people do not trust the governing bodies? Do the people perceive the same goal as the leaders? Are the people working together with the leaders or appear to be working but actually idle? When people argue about how Indonesia should develop their economy sustainability first seeing all the debts or decreasing GDP, or Indonesia should focus on health and public transport first reflected from the Capital city, or unemployment crisis, I have to say Sir Jokowi has done an amazing opening, in terms of Gotong Royong as the first mission of his presidency. As per how he is going to do it, that would be another challenge for the leaders.
