It may sound strange to some folks, but I will say it anyway. The past six to eight months have been some of the toughest months for me emotionally. Ive been in the thick of grief, missing my mom so terribly every day. Most days, I shed silent tears by myself at some point during the day. This sweet little puppy that I got from a rescue has recused my heart. She has brought me so much joy and made me remember my moms love of animals. Ive laughed more in the past week than I have in a long time. Funny how our Creator gives us what we need in the strangest ways at the perfect time. And Mama, every time I smell that puppy breath, I think of you and smile!
