It never ceases to amaze me how most people are either willfully ignorant, a follower, or just plain stupid!! For weeks now people are dumping water over their heads for ALS when in fact... Most of them dont know what it is!! A recent poll conducted suggests that 65% of the people doing the ALS challenge have no idea what it is!! That having been said here is my good deed of the day, here is the definition of ALS.... Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)—also referred to as motor neurone disease (MND), Charcot disease, and, in the United States, Lou Gehrigs disease—is a neurodegenerative disease with various causes. It is characterised by muscle spasticity, rapidly progressive weakness due to muscle atrophy, difficulty in speaking (dysarthria), swallowing (dysphagia), and breathing (dyspnea). ALS is the most common of the five motor neuron diseases.
