It seems as if the Australian public picked up straight away on a spirit message from Phillip Hughes. I know first hand how many messages I get from my late husband Steve since he passed, even to this very day. I just had to learn how to communicate with him in spirit. I will never forget the beautiful sign that Steve gave us on the first football game of the season in April 2013, it was only six days after we lost him so tragically, and the funeral had not yet been held. The boys had to run out on that field with hearts so broken, without their Captain. But Steve was there with them on the field that day and his spirit showed through in the photos - right beside his lifelong best mate and my now amazing, supportive partner Ryan Fox there is a beautiful and otherwise unexplainable blue orb that follows Ryan in a sequence of pictures, as if to help shield him from the opposition. Steve had tried to catch my attention several times in those very early days and in my grief and shock I wasnt too sure what was happening. But seeing his spirit in those photos started a new journey that allowed me to learn how to connect with him from the other side. As Phillip has done today, Steve uses his much loved football #28 continually to get the attention of the wider community that knew and loved him, and for me, seeing his number pop up at particular times of my life has helped answer questions I have asked him about my own life direction. I have no doubt at all that Phillip Hughes is watching all his team mates playing so proudly in honour of him, and its a beautiful sign that he has given both the players and the Australian public to show that our loved ones never really leave us. It is so refreshing to see something so positive as spirit communication in the everyday media. I am sure that Phillips family, friends and team mates will continue to see his special number in the future, as a sign he will use to let those that love him know he is still around. Our loved ones are always with us in spirit. The sadness of losing someone we love can completely consume us to the point of never seeing a way out of our pain, but what gave me the strength to face each day and confront my pain is a knowing that Steve is always beside me and all those that he loves, whenever we need him. It is so important to live large in honour of the ones we love - so they can still come along on this ride we call life. If you want to hear from your loved one in spirit, ask them to show you a sign, and be open to any possibilities.
