It started with Gymnastics - marathon meets that we spent all day at, catching occasional glimpses of our angel as she surrendered her ego to subjective judging on frightening apparatuses. Then we evolved to swimming and diving - again, lengthy meets that were a tiny step above watching paint dry or reorganizing your sock drawer eighteen times in a four hour period. But we watched our baby girl do amazing work on the diving board which was always fun to watch.... Now we are sitting at our second regatta watching our pride and joy row... Another ALL DAY detail that for us, consists of mainly watching her get in the boat, shoving off the dock, disappearing into the lake, and coming back to the dock to get out of the boat! My point???? Im holding out hope that one day my darling daughter will pick a sport to participate in that has a scoreboard and a time limit, but no matter what she chooses her biggest fans and admirers will be sitting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting.....
