It was asked: Why do Christians fight so much? Christians fight over things great and small (not all fighting is wise). Christians fight over some things they consider to be vital to defend (some truly are vital, but often it is only vital to the person instigating the fight). Christians are greatly divided by doctrines, some for ignorance of scripture, others with good reason. Christians fight for reasons of pride, not being willing to abandon their positions, even when shown the error of their ways. Christians defend the opinions of others they respect, though the one they respect may be in error. Christians fight over turf, believing they have more right to expand their influence than others. Mostly, Christians fight because they confuse opinion with truth; and they are not perfected in love; and they are still more interested in self than loving their neighbor as themselves ... and some Christians are not really Christians, for they may not have ever entered Christ as He expects; therefore they have not the Holy Spirit dwelling within - no Teacher, no Comforter, no Protector, no Savior, Lord, and King. ~ Norman DeLaHunt ~ 1/16/15.
