It was nine years ago yesterday that The County Ground closed, Ivans wife Raye Mauger very kindly took the time to send this message from her and Ivan to all Exeter fans this week on the anniversary-What a fantastic gesture-Thanks Raye and Ivan .------- I am writing this to say how much Ivan apprecciated his time with Exeter and Exeter holds great memories not just for Ivan, but for all of the Mauger family. It was the effort people put in from Wally Mawdesley, John Richards and Peter Oakes to the paid staff, ambulance staff, volunteers and the supporters club and the supporters. I can feel this as I type. The speedway was very special at Exeter with extrordinary people who loved the sport and loved being apart of it all. Ivan loved this too as I did. How lucky we were to have been part of this spirit that prevailed in those days. Ivan and I send our love to you all.
