It was thirty years ago at this very minute when Sheila walked - TopicsExpress

It was thirty years ago at this very minute when Sheila walked down the aisle to marry me in a small Presbyterian church on Cashmere Hills in Christchurch. She looked so beautiful and when she smiled her eyes lit up with a love so strong she could almost burst. I was so very proud to be her husband, a pride I honour each and every day, my love too was strong as I gazed into her eyes and melted with sheer joy. We said our vows, kissed and held hands as we walked back down the aisle, we still hold hands anytime and everywhere to this day. We were both so happy, our smiles reflected the radiance of our love as we greeted all our guests, all thirty three of them, and thanked them for sharing our special moment. A beautiful day was had by all, a sensational day was had by Sheila and I. Tonight, we celebrate with a magnificent dinner out, then come home to review the event through paper photos, remember them. Thirty years of ups, downs, breakups, breakdowns, friends in high places, friends in low places, travelling the world alone and together, touring as entourage with musical legends, wonderful friends, sad losses of family and friends, making new friends, health dramas, health benefits, all in all, two lives less ordinary. The last thirty years have set the bar very high, the next thirty have to build on these wonderful times and be just as wonderful. More love and laughter, health and happiness, peace and finally could we please have some prosperity, please, weve been good.
