Its a little bizarre, but when I was a little girl, I always pictured in my mind that if someone snatched my bag, Id run after him like hell. Then, whack the shit outa him! There was no notion of whether I was running like a girl or like a boy, it was just me running. But at some point, I embraced the notion that there was really such a thing as acting #likeagirl - and I dont blame any of these women in the video for playing out that stereotype. I have to admit Im the sort of person who hates chick flicks or testosterone-filled movies because they portray women as such. I always think to myself, Oh pur-leez, will you just leave the damn girl behind?! Challenging media to portray women as real women is an uphill task, but first of all, we need to realise that there is a lot of crappy stereotyping going on out there, and it just needs to stop.
