Its amazing what foresight we parents have! How did I know way back in 1970 that our family -- through the marriage of our son Sasha -- would be delightfully combined with the wonderful Chittiappa family from India? That must have been the reason that -- on my way back to the US from my language studies in Russia in 1970 -- I stopped over in India to do some advance work for Sasha! Here are a few photos Ive found from that trip, including typical tourist photos of the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort in Delhi, and also including photos of a wonderful architect who was preserving the ancient skills of stone statue carving by organizing the carvers to carry on this artistic work through carving in teak wood! Such terrific memories of a great and beautiful country!
