Tomorrow will mark our eleventh day in a row of above average temperatures with highs expected to end up in the lower 70s. Clouds will mix with limited sunshine and the winds will begin to pick up out of the south, possibly gusting as high as 30 mph towards evening. Showers associated with our next cold front will develop after sunset Friday evening and could become heavy at times overnight as the front passes through. Temperatures overnight will remain quite mild with lows in the upper 50s to near 60. As far as the showers go, it looks like the best chance for rain on Saturday will be during the morning hours with partial sunshine possible during the afternoon. Rainfall amounts will average close to 1/2. As skies partially clear Saturday night, temperatures will tumble into the mid 30s. Sunday will feature a mix of sun and clouds along with below average temperatures. In fact, most spots will struggle just to get into the mid 50s. Limited lake effect rain showers are possible, but will most likely occur to our west and north. Clouds will be on the increase on Monday with temperatures close to 60. Our next weather feature will bring scattered showers back to the region Tuesday and Wednesday with dry conditions expected to return on Thursday. Temperatures through the period will be in the low to mid 60s.
