Its been a rough couple of days here at home. Very grateful to Brandon for checking what he smelled in the kitchen while dinner was cooking in the oven. There was a smoldering grease fire going on in the oven from fatty grease running off the cooking pan into the bottom of the oven! Once the door was opened to assess the situation, flames burst out and even with the oven door closed back, the flames came from below the door! Weve always kept fire extinguishers within reach of both the kitchen and wood stove as a precaution and, for the first time ever, we used it tonight and put the fire out immediately before it did any damage! This could have ended so differently tonight!! Thank you so much Brandon!! And to all of you, DO YOU HAVE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS IN YOUR KITCHEN??? So many house fires start with simple flames related to cooking and no way to put them out, or people choose to use hand towels and such to try to put the flames out only to spread the fire throughout. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Please, if you dont have at least one fire extinguisher, GET ONE! If you have fire extinguishers, CHECK THEM to make sure they are still good! You dont want to assume you have a safety plan in place only to find your extinguisher is no good! Protect yourself, your family, your pets, and your home! 👫👶🎎🐶🐯🐠🏡 Be prepared at all times!
