Its been a while since since someone on the street has impacted me ... I have built a way of blocking it out but today... I seen a guy I would say late 30s early 40s. He got in and cant get him off my mind. Something traumatic happened and I say the war. The look in his eyes as he was sitting on the ground at the entrance to union station. He use to have a different life and what brought him to sitting there was not very nice. I wanted to talk to him but he wasnt receptive to reality he had fear in his eyes. I know he was Vet. I have never experienced what he has. I hope I never do because the feeling is terrible. If I see him again I will be prepared to talk to him. Overwhelming I cant imagine... I just wanted to hug him.
