Its been about 4 months since my Boston friends, Matt and Nell, shipped me my cello to Seattle. In that time, Ive experienced crazy times at work, completed work on my first film The Primary Instinct, endured an intense bout of hives, had septoplasty surgery (which required weeks of recovery), and published dozens of podcast episodes. BUT THROUGHOUT IT ALL: I kept practicing cello every single day. 30 minutes here. 60 minutes here. Some days Id just read the manual for my looping pedal and try to figure out WTF was going on. (Well okay, maybe I skipped a bunch of days due to surgery and hives. But still...) Today, my cello YouTube page (with 4 videos, launched in late August) crosses 50,000 views. Its not a huge number, but its great encouragement, and large enough for me to want to keep going until this journey is complete. Im incredibly grateful to Andrew Barkan for his generous collaboration, to Matthew Weber and Nell ODonnell Weber for going through the pain in the ass of shipping me the cello, and to all of YOU GUYS for watching my videos and encouraging me. It means so much! https://youtube/watch?v=P1HnBgTzuck
