Its really humbling to realize that if I had never heard this band I might have never played in another band and thus probably wouldve never met half of the people reading this. The first time I heard freakout, it changed my opinion of music and musicianship irrevocably. At that time, I had barely touched a guitar in 3 years and had no intention to start playing with any regularity. Incidentally, many years later I have the opportunity to share a bill with the band that inspired me to change my life. I get to do this as a member of a band of people whom I truly admire.
