Ive been so stuck on what to do for a job since the surgeries wrecked my ability to run my little house painting business and Ive thought about nursing or paramedics, but shift work is tough enough as it is, let alone when youre a single mum and I dont want to be leaving my kid alone for long periods of time. So, I had a think and realised that I can still focus on nursing AND my love of animals by training to become a veterinary nurse, all while working normal hours (plus I can then specialise in surgical which would be so cool). Im going to call centrelink tomorrow and see if I can get funding to study. The course is expensive online and the only TAFE that offers it is in Box Hill which is out of the question, so it has to be online. Anyway, fingers crossed!
