Ive been tagged a bunch of times to pick 10 books that have stayed with me. So Im going to explain why Im picking each one (because there is a special reason for each) 1) Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. This was the first book to cause an obsession for me. 2) Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James Author. (Ive seen this on almost everyones list) BUT THIS SERIES CHANGED MY LIFE. This book introduced me to a fandom of people (and literally dozens of new friends, friends I adore) and lit a fire in me to become more passionate about reading. I mean and COME ON...hard limit, red room, bare feet and ripped jeans!!! Without these first two books, I would never have this Facebook account or be friends with any of you. 3) Thoughtless by Author SC Stephens. OMG, I connected to this one in a way I cant explain. Its also the first thing Ive ever read that made me email the author (to tell her how much I loved it). Imagine my surprise when she responded!!!! 4) On Dublin Street by Samantha Young. Ok, this is also a biggie. I joined my first ever Facebook group (thanks Laura Howard for inviting me) My friendship with Laura led me to my first book signing in Boston and began my beautiful friendship with Trish Brinkley. 5) Undeniable series by Madeline Sheehan. This one is another WHOA. This was the first time I conversed with and author first, was added to her group (thanks Virginia Tesi Carey) BEFORE I read her book. I loved how honest and real she was (no filter, no bullshit, heart of gold). After reading this series IVE NEVER BEEN THE SAME. I thought Mad was a cool chick before I read and after I was in awe of her! She also changed my reading habits forever. Men need to think and speak like men for me to enjoy reading a story now. She set the bar high and her writing gets better every book!! 6) The Consequences Series by Aleatha Romig. What can I say, Im a sucker for Tony. I must be suffering from readers Stockholm because he took me right along with Claire. I hated this character and the fact that Aleatha redeemed him (in my eyes) was nothing short of genius. It also was my very first trailer and still my first love! It also brought me to Amy McAvoy and OMG I dont know what Id do without that STABBY bird. 7) All of S L Scott Authors stories. Suzie had opened a whole new creative outlet for me. The Resistance was the first book I edited (officially) and made us the closest of friends. I love the way she writes and what a loving heart she has. Her new serial Scorned is a so different from whats out there. I just adore it. 8) Shay Savage stories. Wow, I love her male POV and ability to step out of the box. Love this lady hardcore and her no drama demeanor. Surviving Raine will always be one of my favorites. Plus we make a hell of a team with Kandace Milostan Lovesbooks and Andrea Booker. 9) Sempre by JM Darhower this epic tale has stolen my heart. Haven will forever be one of my favorite female characters ever. I totally fangirl JM whenever I see her. 10) Ready to Fall by Daisy Prescott. This was the first time someone wrote something specifically for me (the outdoor shower) and after a brainstorming session turned it into a book! *sigh* lumberjack, bearded goodness. 10 isnt enough) these are stories that have not yet been published but have been a part of my life and had a deep impact. Hollywood and Vine by Livie Liv and Bad Romeo/Broken Juliet by Leisa Rayven. Thank you both for trusting me with your babies. They are precious to me. I want to finish by saying that there are two stories I would really want to encourage to get published. Deviant by Planetblue Fic and In Your Room by Lay Athomemom. These two are phenomenal and deserve to be on my list. Thank you all for reading and being in my life.
