Ive been thinking. (My kids would automatically say uh-oh at this point in the conversation.) But this time, Ive been thinking about miracles and answered prayers and how they are all around us. That we just had another great year at Antioch Bible Camp, and how many of our family memories are tied to that place and those people. My sister and her birthday. And a new car which no one deserves more than she does. My mother who is the most dependable person I know, and that it couldnt have been easy to become this person in her circumstances. My mother-in-law who is finding reasons to keep living after the greatest loss imaginable last year. Our daughter getting married. Our son getting married a month later. Our house finally selling. Our youngest daughter being halfway through college already, and loving it 99% of the time. The friends and family who have helped us get through this past year, after losing Junior. The fact that I still have a million books to write in my head, when the time is right to write them. And that taking the time to live life will just make them better. The fact that I get to see my husband every weekend, and that our time of being apart is halfway done. The fact that I get to work at a place I dearly love. The fact that we have always been married for 30 years, and there is no way any of this is humanly possible. Ive been thinking about love and dreams. Hardships and overcoming. Celebrations and expanding families. Table decorations and invitations. About how God was always there and his timing is perfect. About how thankful I am to be here in this place in this time. There is so much to do; still humanly impossible. So I guess Ill just keep thinking…. And thanking.
