Ive been trying to get good photos of my Cooke Water Company bottle. As you might imagine, glass isnt easy to photograph. But here are the best of the lot. The bottle is about 13 in. tall and about 4 in. in diameter. The stopper has a wire cage to hold the cork firmly in the bottle. If I remember correctly, it holds about 2 quarts. I tried to take a rubbing of the image but it is rather low relief and I couldnt get a good image. The text reads: COOKE WATER CO. [image of an Indian holding a bowl with a tree to the left and five teepees to the right] COOKS SPRINGS, ALA. with an apostrophe. So weve had variations on the name of our community: Cooks Springs, Cooks Springs, and Cook Springs.
