Ive been wanting to say something about this for some time, but I did not want to individually call anyone out. Ive noticed that there is a lot of man hating going on in casual misandry, and that is certainly to be expected. What I am a little bit disappointed in is the prevalence of jokes regarding literacy and the implication that men often lack aforementioned literacy. Literacy is not intelligence, nor is it a reflection of someones capacity to learn or reason. The ability to read and participate in written language, especially online, is a privilege. I dont want to directly police anyones language in this group, but I hope that you will all consider the nature of literacy and the fact that you are privileged to have it. And also consider the fact that people who are not literate are not able to participate in this medium, and thus are not able to see the fact that their illiteracy is being used as a punchline. Just something that I gently urge you to consider. :^) -Shanes Mom (I did not write this for him because he is not literate, I wrote this for him because he is busy hammering nails into the skin between his fingers)
