Ive been watching the TV series Ripper Street since it started and on the whole it is loosely based on historical facts. However, last nights episode seemed to a little mixed up by placing a 60s style Manson (trying to start a religious race war) and Reverend Jim Jones cult (mass suicide) and placing it in the Victorian era and having the Golden Dawn involved with it as well, Im sure there were lots of interesting figures dabbling in the occult kind of thing at the time to have actually used some historical facts rather than this bizarre 60s/70s hybrid.....
