Ive seen something like this once before. I went with my father to a ranch where he shod the horses. There was one blue roan that was so tough to handle that they side lined him so dad could shoe him. He reared and struck when anyone came near him. The foremans little 4 yr old daughter came down and ran right up to this horses chest crying his name. We all froze thinking she was going to be killed. That horse never moved a muscle as she stood between his front legs. I remember this as one of my turning points in reaching out to understand horses better.
