Regarding Hunts suggestion for teachers to take a public oath! First of all if anyone needs to take a public oath its the proportion of parents who through their bad example and lack of parenting skills cause their youngsters to be so difficult in the first place! Perhaps Hunt could make them take a test before they become parents, before we have to do their job for them as well! As for us taking an oath.... What an insulting suggestion! I would absolutely refuse! Its an insult to my professional integrity to suggest it and thank goodness there are many like me who would also think this ridiculous. Politicians should stop meddling, go away and leave us to use our vast array of capabilities to get on with the job. Having said that maybe we could all pack it in and become politicians, quite clearly we would only need to use half our brains then, in order to make half witted, ludicrous suggestions.
